WHAT IS THE TEACH FOR NIGERIA FELLOWSHIP?
The Teach For Nigeria Fellowship 2020 program is a 2 year full-time paid commitment in which we place Nigerian graduates and professionals to teach in Nigeria’s under-served schools in low- income communities.

The Teach For Nigeria Fellowship is a transformational leadership program that equips Fellows with transferable leadership skills to effect change beyond the classrooms in the communities we serve.

WILL I BE TRAINED BEFORE I START THE FELLOWSHIP?
Teach For Nigeria will work relentlessly to ensure that all Fellows have the knowledge and skills necessary to lead their students towards achievement. The Teach For Nigeria Fellowship begins with a six-week residential training program. Here, Fellows are exposed to curriculum, lesson planning, and classroom facilitation and student assessments among other modules, sessions, and keys to successful teaching.

WHAT SUBJECTS WILL I TEACH IN THE TEACH FOR NIGERIA 2020 FELLOWSHIP?
Teach For Nigeria Fellows placed in primary schools will be required to teach subjects from the Nigerian school curriculum.

ELIGIBILITY/ QUALIFICATION /CRITERIA

Applications are open, individuals with varying levels of experience including graduates, working youth, experienced professionals, and entrepreneurs not lesser than 35 years. Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree or an Education Qualification.

Teach For Nigeria partner schools are located in three states (Lagos, Ogun, and Kaduna State). For Fellows posted to Lagos state, you will be required to teach in the Junior Secondary School, while Fellows posted to Kaduna and Ogun states will be required to teach in primary schools.

Teach For Nigeria does not provide accommodation for Fellows. However, accommodation is provided during the six-week residential training program at the training institute which all prospective Fellows must attend.

CAN I CHOOSE MY SUBJECT?
No, you cannot choose your subject. Teach For Nigeria has specified subjects you must teach.

WILL I BE SUPPORTED DURING THE FELLOWSHIP?
Teach For Nigeria Fellows receive support throughout the duration of their Fellowship. Teach for Nigeria tutors and coaches will be available to guide Fellows to become effective teachers and leaders. There will be ongoing teacher training, mentoring, and professional development for personal development.

HOW TO APPLY FOR TEACH FOR NIGERIA 2020 FELLOWSHIP AND COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM

process. You must ensure that you answer every question in as much detail as possible. Remember that your application shall be a mirror of your experiences, and it will be reviewed by a team of trained reviewers to ensure every applicant goes through a fair and consistent process.
Below are some suggestions to help you write an effective application form. Check the application closing dates and ensure you apply before the deadline.
